Choir

Young Voices

Choir had a wonderful time performing at the Young Voices concert at the O2 on Monday night (29th January). During our rehearsal, we were introduced to the guest performers for the evening (Beau Dermott from Britain's Got Talent, Sharlene Hector from Basement Jaxx, and Tony Hadley from Spandau Ballet) and got a chance to practise the dance moves for each of the songs. The performance itself was, as always, a fantastic experience. The children sang with great enthusiasm and represented the school fantastically. We even managed to spot our parents in the audience!

Have a look at the videos from the night - it was certainly an evening to remember!

Thank you to all the parents and carers for enabling the children to have this experience, and supporting with travel arrangements!

Voice in a Million Concert at Wembley Arena

On Wednesday, 14th March, St. Mary's choir performed at the Voice in a Million Concert at the SSE Wembley Arena. The event aims to raise awareness and money for children in care, and works closely with Adoption UK. The choir had been practising for weeks, learning a range of songs from Dancing in the Moonlight to Moana! The children all performed brilliantly on the night, having learnt their words well and were able to learn some dance moves as well! Well done everyone!

Choir sing at the Royal Albert Hall

On Sunday, 11th March, children from the school choir performed in the Hertfordshire Schools' Music Gala at the Royal Albert Hall. Despite an early start, the children were all excited and sang brilliantly through the rehearsal and the performance itself. They also enjoyed listening to the orchestras, watching the dancers, visualising the story through art, and listening to the narrations by author Michael Rosen. Well done everyone!
