Summer learning! Finding out about animals and minibeasts, measuring snail trails in different ways, exploring animals in the water and using technology to draw.

Garg the 'Animal Man' - We had a visit from Garg who showed as many types of animals and shared facts about them. The children were very brave getting up close.

Measuring and comparing beanstalks using blocks, hands, feet, rulers and tape measures. Using the language - 'tallest, shortest, taller, shorter, centimeters and metres

Investigating Doubles and proving what we know

We took a walk around school to find the signs of Spring. We also compared Spring to the other seasons.

We are learning about 'People who help us'. The fireman came to visit to tell us about what they do in their job and what equipment they need.

All ready for 'Mark making Monday!' We will be outside too! The children will be making patterns, exercising their gross motor and fine motor skills and practising what they have learnt.

Welcome to Reception class 2018 - 2019!

 

The children have had a fun start to the year and are very settled already.  I shall be updating the class page with pictures of learning experiences on a regular basis so please keep checking here to see what we have been up to.

You will be also updated with weekly themes, reminders and requests in the newsletter. This will be sent out on Friday afternoons.
