26th September

We have worked hard with our learning this week in Year 5!

ENGLISH: We have looked carefully at all the components needed to use dialogue successfully. The children have really enjoyed retelling our model text whilst looking closely at the toolkit features.

MATHS: We are coming to the end of our place value unit by consolidating our understanding of rounding. The children used dice to try and get as close to the target number as possible.

MUSIC: The children have begun constructing their musical. Each group has been allocated a section of a story and are not only composing speech between the characters but songs and dances too.

PE: During PE, we are continuing to build upon our dance routine - adding both synchronised movements and staggered movements.

RE: Inspired by stained glass glass windows, we have begun to construct our own - reflecting on the importance that architecture plays in churches.

HOME LEARNING:

READING: X5 times a week minimum including reading to an adult.

MATHS & ENGLISH: Being 'in the green' on Doodle.

SPELLING: Please complete the spelling assignment on Doodle.
