10th October
This week in maths, we’ve been exploring number lines and noticing the similarities between them and number tracks. It’s been exciting to see how numbers can be represented in different ways and how these tools help us understand counting and sequencing better.
In English, we have been diving into the book Here Comes Mr Postmouse. We focused on describing different characters, looking closely at their personalities, actions, and how they make the story interesting. It’s been fun sharing our ideas and learning new words to describe what we see!
We also had a special visit from the Watford Schools Trust, who came to talk to us about harvest. We reflected on all the things we are thankful for, and it was lovely to hear everyone’s ideas about what makes them feel grateful.
In science, we carried out an exciting experiment to find out which objects sink and which float. Before testing, we made our predictions and then checked to see if we were right. It was fascinating to see how our ideas compared to what actually happened!
