10th October

As we get closer to the end of term, it has been lovely to see the children really settle into Year 5 and show a lot of perseverance in their learning. Next week is the last week to complete the Changemaker's project - We are looking forward to seeing all the work the children have completed!

ENGLISH: We have begun our shared write and created our three new characters 'Harry, Jack and Emily.' The children have really been using their imaginations and hugging the text to produce the work together.

MATHS: We have been using rounding as a way of checking answers. We have learned that we can be more accurate to our answer by rounding to a lower multiple.

HISTORY: The children have explored different Anglo Saxon gods and goddesses and learned about the symbolism associated with them.

RE: We have been lucky to join in with Year 2 and sing along with Alex who introduced us to different songs as we continue to explore our topic of God being holy and loving.

HOME LEARNING:

READING: X5 times a week minimum including reading to an adult.

MATHS & ENGLISH: Being 'in the green' on Doodle.

SPELLING: Please complete the spelling assignment on Doodle.

Have a wonderful weekend!
