17th October
We are into our penultimate week before half term and starting to bring to an end our different learning journeys!
ENGLISH: We have been hugging the text and starting our independent write. The children have been using such a great range of vocabulary and been super focused on using their toolkit features.
MATHS: We have learned how to use the inverse operation to check our answers.
SCIENCE: This week, we made clay models and tested how water resistant the shape of them were. We found out that the wider shapes were more buoyant.
PSHE: Communication online is super tricky! We have learned that we need facial expressions and body language to support the meaning behind what we say. Here are some great quotes from the children to consider how yu can communicate!
'Before you send your message, always check it twice.'
'Check it with two eyes, not one.'
'Things might not always be as it seems.'
'Before you send, check first!.'
RE: We have been thinking about our own guidelines for life linking to our unit of God being holy and loving. The children had some fantastic contributions to make about how they live their lives and what they would do if someone broke their guideline rules.
HOME LEARNING:
READING: X5 times a week minimum including reading to an adult.
MATHS & ENGLISH: Being 'in the green' on Doodle.
SPELLING: Please complete the assignment for the rule i before e except after a c
