5th December

Notices:

Don’t forget about our Change Maker Project! We’ll be giving out the stickers for this term’s challenges during the last week of term, so there’s still time for your child to take part. We can’t wait to celebrate all their efforts!

It is very important to bring in base layers for Monday for our nativity, so we can start organising costumes. Please bring them in a named bag and a hanger if possible.

Anyone who has an angel costume at home that we can borrow for the nativity would be amazing!

What a busy and exciting week we’ve had in class!

In maths, we’ve been learning about subtraction and using the part-part-whole model to find missing parts in equations. We’ve been working hard to understand how numbers fit together.

In English, we explored where dragons might live. We used generalisers to explain different possibilities and had fun being creative with our ideas.

In science, we investigated the differences between reptiles, fish, and amphibians. We discovered what makes each group special and how to tell them apart.

This week in PE, we started gymnastics. We practised making wide and thin movements on the equipment and worked on controlling our bodies carefully.

We’ve also been very busy rehearsing for our nativity play. Everyone is excited to perform and show off what we’ve been practising!

In geography, we looked at the surveys we did last week and thought about how we could use them to make our playground even better. Some brilliant ideas were shared!

In RE, we began exploring the Christmas story and learning about what happens during this special time of year.

It’s been a week full of learning, creativity, and fun!
