The children have explored lots of different ideas this week!
In Maths, the children have started learning about numbers to 20. They have been exploring how numbers are made up of tens and ones, using practical resources to help deepen their understanding.
In English, we have been focusing on improving our handwriting, making sure letters are formed correctly. We have also been practising how to structure a sentence and learning how to describe a picture using our ideas and vocabulary.
In Science, we explored how our eyes work. The children enjoyed investigating eye colours and finding out which eye colour was the most common in our class.
In History, we thought carefully about questions we could ask to find out what toys were like in the past. We then explored some toys and discovered interesting facts about how they are different from the toys we play with today.
In RE, we learnt about how some Jewish people donate money to charity using a Tzedakah box. The children really enjoyed making their own Tzedakah boxes and learning about the importance of helping others.
Supporting Learning at Home
-
Please continue to read at least five times a week with your child and record this in their reading record.
-
Spellings have been sent home this week, so regular practice will be very helpful.
-
Please also keep up with handwriting practice, ensuring letters are formed correctly.
Thank you for your continued support.
