Year Six Positions of Responsibility
Year 6 Positions of Responsibility
Our Year 6 pupils take on a Position of Responsibility, which is earned through a democratic process where both pupils and staff vote for their leaders. These positions give all children the opportunity to have a voice in the school’s decision-making and to serve as role models for younger pupils. These positions not only foster a sense of pride and responsibility but also provide pupils with the chance to give back to the school community. Through their leadership, they gain a deeper understanding of the importance of service, collaboration and working together for the benefit of the whole school community.
Family Groups and Reception Buddies
Each Year 6 pupil takes on an important leadership role within their Family Group, helping to lead, support and encourage younger pupils across the school. They are also paired with a Reception buddy, who becomes part of their Family Group. This gives our youngest children a familiar older role model and provides Year 6 pupils with the responsibility of helping them feel safe, included and part of our school community.
