3rd October
This week we have been learning about greater than, less than, and equal to. The children have enjoyed comparing numbers using the <, > and = symbols, and they’re becoming confident at explaining their thinking. You might like to try asking them at home to compare numbers you spot around the house, like house numbers or page numbers in a book.
In English, we have been exploring the story Here Comes Mr Postmouse. The children loved following the characters on their adventures and we’ve been doing lots of activities linked to the book, from sequencing events to imagining our own parcels and letters.
Our science lesson focused on man-made and natural objects. The children explored what different items are made from and sorted them into categories. This led to some brilliant discussions about how materials are used in everyday life.
In PE, we are learning about motifs. The children had fun creating their own simple movement patterns and then sharing them with the class.
Thank you to everyone who sent in photos! We used these to make a timeline showing how we have grown and changed over the years. The children really enjoyed spotting differences and similarities as we thought about our own personal histories.
